A Pioneering Heritage

A Pioneering Heritage

Riverstone Rise occupies a property owned by the Turich family. Four generations of Turichs have lived in Gladstone since family patriarch Charles John Turich emigrated from Germany in 1854.

Riverstone Rise is named after a nearby property, Riverstone, where Charles John Turich worked before purchasing his own land on the Boyne River.

Riverstone belonged to Maurice O'Connell, the Governor of the area's first settlement and was named after his home in Ireland.

The names of the villages within Riverstone Rise will be inspired by folklore surrounding the iconic Turich property, continuing the historical link with the Gladstone area and its founding families.
